Tim Thomasma is an educator, information technology architect and manager who has led global planning, design and implementation of business critical systems and applications over the past thirty years. Tim began his career as an Assistant Professor of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering at the University of Michigan – Dearborn, where he developed and taught courses in computer aided design and manufacturing, object oriented design and programming, computer graphics, software engineering and applied artificial intelligence and expert systems. After his promotion to a tenured position at the university he became increasingly active in industry. After leaving the university he served in technical leadership roles with Ford Motor Company, IBM and Capgemini. Tim is author of over 60 articles, scholarly papers, and presentations at national and international conferences. In addition to working with Memarden he is active helping with education and business development initiatives in Detroit.
