Gandham Rufus Jayanandam
Dr. G.R.Jayanandam retired as Assistant Director (Student Services) Dr.B.R. Ambedkar Open University, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India in 2013. Earlier he taught Public Administration post graduate students for 14 years in the Department of Public Administration, Osmania University, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh.
He has an M.Phil (Educational Administration “A descriptive study of the organisation of the Board of Intermediate Education in Andhra Pradesh”) and Ph.D (“Administration of Welfare Programmes for child labour with special reference to the state of Andhra Pradesh) from Osmania University with fellowship from University Grants Commission, New Delhi.
He has presented papers at International Level.
- “Schooling the Rural Poor: Need for perspective shift”, International Symposium on New Directions in the Humanities 2007, (Common Ground Conferences) sponsored by the centre for comparative literature and society at Columbia University, New York, U.S.A. February 24-26, 2007.
- “Education for All” (nurturing the young through literacy presented in the 4th Pan African Reading for All Conference, “Literacy for Sustainable Development” during 22-26 August 2005 at Ezulwini Swaziland, South Africa.
Presently he is working on sociology of school education in Rural India.
