Professor Amy Smith
Amy Smith is a Professor at Kaplan University in the General Education Science Department. She specializes in environmental science and also teaches general sciences courses. Professor Smith received her Master of Forest Ecology from Colorado State University, and current research interests include urban ecology, community forestry, and watershed/riparian ecology, as well as effective teaching methods in undergraduate general education and STEM. She also actively participates in science course redesign and curriculum upgrades at Kaplan, and is researching the impact of outcome-based learning and standardized curriculum in student success metrics.
